AbstractABSTRACT

The rapid advancement of information technology, especially in digital images spread on the Internet, allows people to easily access digital images. The downside has to do with having digital documents. It is easy to recognize property rights to digital images and manipulate images. One of the best technique is watermarking technique. The Discrete Wavelete Transform (DWT) method on color digital images is decomposed into 4 subbands of the LL coefficients, namely LL2, LH2, HL2, and HH. The quality of the digital image that has been embedded with a watermark is calculated using the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and the quality of the watermark image from the extraction process is calculated using the Correlation Coefficient (CC). The results of the experiment in this study, namely with an Alpha value of 0.0001 in the embed process, produced the best watermarked image which was not visible to the naked eye with a PSNR value of 33.46 dB, the lowest Mean Sequence Error (MSE) value was getting smaller. inputted Alpha value, the error in the process is getting smaller. and the level of the best Alpha value in the quality of Fidelity is 0.0001, where the greater the Alpha value, the worse the quality of the watermarked image, whereas from the extraction the Alpha value of 0.2 is the CC value of 0.973, and with the modification of noise and rotate. The extracted watermark image is still recognized by Human Visual System (HVS).
