| Abstract | Technological developments that continue to develop from time to time are in accordance with the increasing needs of human life, one of which is in the field of computer networks that can connect computers to support human work. The need for a network security system for information systems or computers connected to the internet is very vulnerable to intrusion, data theft and misuse of information by irresponsible people. So efforts to protect the system are needed. Firewall is one of the solutions to protect computer networks in preventing these actions. Various methods are applied. An example is the Packet Filtering method, traffic will be filtered at the network layer which includes IP Address and Port, but the increasing need for security requires a security that can inspect more than one protocol. The Stateful Multilayer Inspection method is a method that can combine the advantages of other methods in one system. Mikrotik is an operating system that has excellent features, one of which is a firewall. |
