AbstractThe cashier system is a mandatory system that must be owned by every business that is centered on buying and
selling or leasing, regardless of manual or automatic systems. The system at CV.Indomulti Concept is considered
ineffective because the recording of data on goods and transactions that take 5-10 minutes along with reports is
still done in writing by recording using a book, so this system is not efficient in saving time, energy and materials.
Given the problems with the system, a web-based Point of Sale system was designed using CodeIgniter. In building
the system the approach method used is a structured approach method using the RAD development method or
Rapid Application Development, where the data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The
result of making this system is a cashier system that can simplify the management of item data, category data, user
data; and transactions, this system can assist employees in managing item data, transaction data, speed up
transactions and can reduce errors in the data recording process and reduce errors in reporting.
