AbstractSMK Muhammadiyah Gubug is one of the Vocational High Schools that provides scholarships for outstanding
students and students in the underprivileged category. However, in practice in SMK the number of applicants for
scholarship recipients is always more than the number of scholarships offered. Thus, the school must be more
selective in determining students who are eligible to receive the scholarship. Preliminary research results show
that the Muhammadiyah Gubug Vocational School takes ± 15 working days to determine the eligibility of
scholarship recipients. This is of course very ineffective and the results are also not necessarily accurate. In this
study the authors propose a website-based application that can be used as a decision support system for
scholarship acceptance. The application uses the TOPSIS method to assess the eligibility of scholarship recipients
based on 6 variables (value of report cards, parents' income, parents' education, parents' occupations, number of
dependents and number of siblings) which are expected to provide accurate assessment results in determining
scholarship recipients. Based on the results of analysis and testing, it is concluded that the resulting system is a
decision support system for determining the eligibility of web-based scholarships with the topsis method can
support the Muhammadiyah Gubug Vocational School and provide effectiveness and efficiency for scholarship
data management.
