| Abstract | ABSTRACT Batik is a cultural heritage from our ancestors until now it is still developing in various regions in Indonesia. batik is a characteristic of indonesian clothes. Batik is the art of drawing on cloth for clothes made with resist techniques using wax material. The many batik patterns make it difficult to identify the level of similarity to one another. Because of this, a shift of knowledge from manual to a certain digital system is needed. So, in this research, a system is made to analyze batik using the characteristics extraction on batik using Independent Component Analysis (ICA) method and Variations in the calculation of the distance to be used are the Manhattan, Euclidean, and Minkowski distances. The steps to do recognitionare image preprocessing, feature extraction using ICA method, and recongnition using minimum distance. In this research, there were 4 images of the class of the leaves, with 50 images used for the training data and testing data The result of this research is a high accuracy value of analyzing by using Euclidean, From the results of 29 images tested that were correctly analyzed were 18 images and the incorrect data were 11 images with accuracy value of 62,060% |
