AbstractThe rapid development of information technology has become a serious challenge, not least in the world of
education. With the role of information technology can support in increasing the efficiency of every human work.
SD Negeri Kalicari 02 Semarang is a basic level educational institution. Where in the management of academic
data is still done in general, namely using Microsoft Excel, so all the data is still separate from each other, so it
is less effective and efficient in managing all its data activities, namely: value data, teacher data, student data,
data academic year, subject data, extracurricular data, subject schedule data, and extracurricular schedule data.
And also there is no means of information regarding grades and schedules that can be monitored in real time by
the guardians of students. Therefore, we need an information system that can solve these problems. The system
development method is the Prototype method, using the application of the CodeIgniter Framework in building the
system, so that a dynamic and interactive website system is formed. With the formation of a website-based
academic information system using the application of the CodeIgniter Framework, it can assist in managing data
so that it is more efficient, and an effective means of delivering academic information is formed.
