| Abstract | The factor of neglecting to turn off the house lights and the factor of laziness getting out of bed is one of the factors that causes electricity wastage. Therefore, an automatic control system is needed to reduce electricity waste, namely Arduino-based automatic curtains and lights.The purpose of this research is to obtain an automatic curtain and lamp based on the Arduino Nano microcontroller. This tool works when there is a lot of sunlight or there is a lot of light/daytime then the curtains will open and the lights will turn off automatically, if the conditions are dark/lack of light then the curtains will be closed and the lights will turn on automatically. Testing of this tool is carried out by providing sunlight through a mobile phone that is brought near or far from the LDR sensor. Based on the test, it was found that for a light value of <=300 or a lack of light, the lights turn on and the curtains close (night conditions), when the LDR value is >300, there is a lot of light so the lights turn off and the curtains open automatically.
