AbstractABSTRACT

The total number of active students at the University of Semarang is 22,156 students. In the 2020/2021 period,
the number of students accepted by the University of Semarang was 4223 students. With such a large number of
students, the University of Semarang in carrying out the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi community service offers
a path of entry through scholarships. The most considered scholarship path is the KIP (Smart Indonesia Card)
scholarship. The KIP admission process is a selection stage, considering that Semarang University has a large
number of applicants and a KIP scholarship quota which requires a system that supports decision making so that
the resulting data is valid. The decision support system is made using the Weight Sum Model method to calculate
alternative results from the weight of the criteria used, namely the value of report cards, family economic
conditions, achievements that have been achieved, and preferably having a smart Indonesian card (KIP).With
this decision system, you can make decisions with the results of calculating data that are already in the stage of
the decision making system using the Weight Sum Model method.
