AbstractTechnological developments allow a person to obtain data on the spatial position of others. The attendance of
students at SMK Negeri 2 Semarang is currently still managed manually. The large number of students at SMK
Negeri 2 Semarang causes the attendance process to be less controlled, and there are often indications of cheating
in doing attendance. From this background, a Student Attendance Information System (Sias) is needed at Smk
Negeri 2 Semarang which is expected to be a solution to the current problems. Student attendance data can be
accessed by BK teachers and teachers who teach to see the status and percentage of attendance of students who
attend learning. The system development method used is the Waterfall method with six steps, consisting of:
Requirements definition, System and software design, Implementation and unit testing, Integration and system
testing, Operation and maintenance. The system is built using PHP and MYSQL software. The final result obtained
is a Student Attendance Information System (Sias) at Smk Negeri 2 Semarang, which can make it easier for Bk
Teachers to recap the attendance of students in terms of attendance during learning.
