AbstractBLU UPTD Trans Semarang is an agency engaged in transportation. The problem with the TRANS SEMARANG
UPTD BLU is that there is no unavailability of an archive system which results in a lack of management of the
documents from the cooperation letter and most of them are still paper-type archives. So that it causes various
problems related to storage, maintenance costs, management personnel, facilities, or other factors that can cause
damage to archives. Therefore, a system is needed that can manage archival documents so that in the future
archival documents are easy to store and search more efficiently and effectively. This is what makes the author
use the prototype method to create an e-archive information system using the Subject filing system is a method to
store archival documents based on the classification of the subject matter of the letter. Based on the results of the
satisfaction questionnaire that has been carried out, it produces strongly agree with a percentage of 29.68%,
agreeing by 68.75%, enough by 1.56%, disagreeing by 0% and disagreeing by 0%. The e-archive information
system is considered very good because the author has conducted black box testing which produces 100% in
testing all system features, white boxes that perform system path testing, and beta testing with questionnaires to
find out user satisfaction. The e-archive information system can be developed again in the future by adding a
feature to recap archive reports in one month, filtering documents by date.
