AbstractABSTRACT

SMK Bagimu Negeriku Semarang is one of the schools in Semarang where students from all over Indonesia who
want to get an education but are less well off in terms of economics and financing, where these students will be
guided to get good knowledge and character. Given the long distance between the child and the parent / guardian,
and the absence of a data management system for academic development and student character at the school, the
result is that information to parents / guardians of students regarding student self-development is not conveyed
completely and up to date. Because of this, a web application-based e-report card system was created which was
designed using the Prototype method. Where the Requirements Planning of this system is the delivery of
information on academic development and student character from school to parents / guardians of students. The
Design System uses use cases and class diagrams and the implementation is carried out with a program coding
process based on the Requirements and Design System. Meanwhile, to estimate whether students are eligible to
go to class or not, the Forward Chaining method is used based on the assessment rules at SMK Bagimu Negeriku
Semarang with the average results of the student's academic scores and character. With this e-report card, the
management of academic and character values carried out by schools is efficient. In addition, parents / guardians
of students can also find up to date information on student developments.
