AbstractThe car rental business is a business in the field of transportation services that is currently busy. The car rental
business has several processes, including the process of ordering cars, payments, returns and cancellations of
orders. At first the manual system was not a problem, but along with the increasing number of cars owned and the
increasing number of tenants who made transactions, resulting in larger data being managed, thus manual data
management became less effective and less efficient. In today's era, where technology is growing rapidly, it is
changing the lifestyle of people who want a simple, easy-to-understand, and fast-access system. Therefore, to
ensure accuracy and speed in presenting information, a Car Rental Information System is needed at Aksara Trans
Car Rental. This information system was built using the PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language,
using MySql as a database and using the CodeIgniter Framework. The result of this research is a computer-based
car rental application which, if implemented, is expected to be able to overcome all problems in data processing
in the car rental business sector.
