AbstractLibraries are part of learning resources that must be owned by every school or college. Because it makes it
easier for students to find information or knowledge through the library. With the development of technology,
people think to be able to work more effectively and efficiently, one of which is to make conventional systems
into computerized systems. This study aims to create a library information system at SMAN1 Bunguran Selatan
in terms of book searches, book data collection, member data collection, borrowers and book returns. The
method used in designing the library information system is the waterfall model, and uses the PHP (PHP
Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language, MySQL database server and uses the CodeIgniter Framework.
The results of this study are a web-based library information system application that has transaction features,
making it easier to collect data on borrowing and returning books, and will improve performance and make it
easier to manage book data
