AbstractEast Semarang District is a work area led by a sub-district head. The sub-district head is responsible to the mayor
and has the main task of assisting the mayor in the administration of government, development and fostering
community life in one sub-district. Currently, the filing of letters in the District of East Semarang is still not
organized or does not have a good archive. At this time, the procedures applied to the archiving of incoming and
outgoing letters in the East Semarang District, from receipt, manufacture, storage to documentation, are all still
carried out conventionally. Documentation of incoming and outgoing letters is only in the form of writing in a
ledger and the storage of documents is still hardcopy. So that one way to be optimal is the use of a website-based
correspondence information system. The system development method used is the waterfall. The tools used in
realizing this system are PHP7 and MYSQL database as storage media. The results of this system will be
implemented further, resulting in a website-based information system for incoming and outgoing mail in the East
Semarang District.
