AbstractAir quality is one of the important points in determining the level of cleanliness and comfort of an area. In big
cities where there are buildings with a shortage of open parking spaces, they will choose the alternative of using
a basement parking area. Compared to other places, the basement parking area is a place with a much higher
percentage of harmful gases trapped due to the activity of entering and leaving vehicles. Based on these problems,
a monitoring system for CO2 and CO gas levels was made at basement locations based on the Internet of Things
(IoT) using NodeMCU ESP8266. In this system, the MQ-135 sensor is used for the sensor that will be used as a
detector for dangerous gases resulting from the combustion of motor vehicle fuel. The data obtained will be
processed in the ESP8266 and sent to the Blynk smartphone application via the WiFi module of the ESP8266. The
purpose of making this system is to monitor this gas in order to avoid the risk of poisoning or other side effects
that endanger health.
