AbstractThe payment system is a common and important thing by every agency that trades an item or service, not
infrequently the system is also used as payment at a school where this system generally still uses a manual
system. At SMK KY Ageng Giri, the system is used to process all transactions related to students, both school
payments and other activities. The system that currently applied is a manual system using bookkeeping, and
for the report still using same system but rewritted again in Excel. Because it was considered less effective
in its implementation, the system was slowly replaced due to the many errors in writing, wastage in using books
and paper, and the inefficient processing time which seemed long. Based on the problem above, a websitebased tuition payment system was created using CodeIgniter. In building the system, the approach method
used is a structured approach in the form of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, where
the data collection techniques used are observation and interviews with clients. The purpose of making
this system is to assist SMK KY Ageng Giri in paying tuition fees that were previously considered ineffective.
