AbstractThe purpose of the study was to create a decision support system in providing cash loans. In this system, the
recommendation of the loan acceptance decision is determined by the weight and criteria that include Guarantee,
Income, Loan Purpose, Employment, and Status of Residence. This system uses the SAW and TOPSIS methods as
basic calculations to determine score criteria. The SAW method can conduct assessments more precisely, based on
the value of criteria and the weight of preferences that have been determined. In addition, the SAW method is able to
select the best alternatives from a number of existing alternatives. Meanwhile, the TOPSIS method is able to choose
the best alternative that has the closest positive ideal solution value and has the furthest value of the negative ideal
solution. The results obtained from this system are shown in the rankings that will be used to choose the best
alternative from some number of alternatives. The system testing process is carried out by comparing the results of
manual calculations with system calculations showing the same results. The results of the decisions obtained from
the system show that the system is easy to use and beneficial for users in determining loans. Based on the results of
the trial to 20 respondents, the support system of lending employees with saw and TOPSIS methods is easy to use
and useful in helping to make decisions. Respondents agreed the system is very easy to use with a final value of
80.67%, and very useful with a final value of 92.30%.
