| Abstract | ABSTRACT A decision support system is a system that provides problem-solving capabilities with semi-structured and unstructured conditions. Performance appraisal is a process of evaluating and assessing work performance. Activities can provide feedback to teachers to spur morale in improving operations, dedication and performance so that it becomes better. Reward or appreciation is a form of company thanks for the dedication and performance of teachers who have good work quality. This study aims to determine the best teacher, by selecting several alternative best teacher positions based on predetermined selection criteria. So a decision making method (DSS) can help the optimal decision-making process, namely SMART (Simple Multi Attribute Technique). This method is widely used to solve practical decision making. The results of the system conclude that this decision support system helps in determining the best teacher selection. The system development method uses a prototype model. While the software to be built uses the PHP programming language (Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL Database. System testing uses the Black Box and White Box methods. The final result of this research is the creation of a decision support system for the selection of the best teachers using the smart method at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Semarang. |
