AbstractABSTRACT

Admission of new students is one of the main activities at school. The new admissions process is done routinely at the beginning of each new school year in each school. In the admission of new students many schools that only use the value of acceptance test results as the main reference in determining the acceptance of new students. We recommend that in the acceptance of new students do not only use the value of acceptance test results only as a reference, but better also must compare with the grades of student diplomas in determining the acceptance of new students. The school should also be able to determine new admissions criteria, as not all students who enroll are students who have a match to be students in the school. In order for these problems do not occur then need to create a system that can support the acceptance of new students. Admission of new students with computerized systems will be more effective in determining the admission of new students. The method of admission of new students will simulate the suitability of prospective students against the criteria - criteria that have been determined. Weighted Product (WP) is one of the methods in decision support. This method will calculate the criteria specified in the admission of new students, then the final result of the calculation of these criteria will result in a decision whether the student is accepted or not to be a student in that school.
