Abstract

Currently, the employee assessment process is conducted manually and tends to be inconsistent, leading to decreased employee satisfaction levels. Based on an internal survey in 2023, approximately 65% of 15 managers reported challenges in evaluating employee performance. Seventy percent of the 100 employees surveyed expressed dissatisfaction with the current assessment process, citing lack of transparency and perceived unfairness. In order to address these issues, the objective of this study is to develop a decision support system that utilizes the weight product method for evaluating top-performing employees. The Weight Product method was selected for its capability to assess multiple criteria by integrating factors such as employee performance, discipline, teamwork, behavior, and skills. The test results indicate that the Weight Product method-based decision support system can enhance assessment accuracy by 35% and decrease the time needed for the assessment process by 45%. Moreover, employee satisfaction with the assessment process saw a 25% increase. It is anticipated that PT FMA will be able to conduct employee assessments in a more objective, transparent, and efficient manner using this system, leading to enhanced employee motivation and overall productivity.
