Web-based Inventory System At Pt. Telkom Akses Semarang Using Prototype Method

Abstract

Inventory management and the receipt of goods must be considered in a company. One of the important processes in managing goods is the transaction of requesting and issuing goods. This transaction is carried out to ensure that the inventory of goods is always available and used efficiently. However, the process of managing transaction requests and issuing goods is often done manually for several reasons. This causes the ineffectiveness of issuing and entering goods in the warehouse. There are also obstacles to the recording of damaged goods (refurbish) where the recording of damaged goods is still not organized, to overcome this problem a systematic system is needed. The research method used is the Prototype method and uses the MySQL database as data storage. From the results of the tests that have been carried out with white box and black box testing, 4 different scenario paths were produced on the login form, and the average program feasibility survey obtained 60% on the program display, 60% operation, completeness of goods information 60%, program features 80%, and buttons on the program 80%. In this way, it is hoped that in the future it will be easier for the warehouse department to manage the goods request system and reports on incoming and outgoing goods and reports more quickly, thereby reducing errors in data management that can be detrimental to the Company.
