New Student Registration System Integrated Whatsapp Notification at SDN 3 Gempolsewu Kendal

Abstract

New student enrolment is an important process in primary education that involves registration, document verification, test scheduling and notification of selection results. SDN 3 Gempolsewu in Kendal faces challenges in managing enrolment in a conventional manner that is time- and resource-consuming. This research aims to design and implement a website-based new student registration system integrated with WhatsApp notifications to improve the efficiency and quality of administration at SDN 3 Gempolsewu Kendal. The system provides real-time information to prospective students and parents, reduces communication errors, and increases transparency. The system development uses PHP programming language with Laravel framework through SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) method which includes planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The results show that this system accelerates the registration process, increases parent satisfaction, and becomes an efficient and effective solution in managing new student registration at SDN 3 Gempolsewu Kendal. This research can be a reference for other schools that want to adopt similar technology to improve their education services.
