DEVELOPMENT OF ATTENDANCE APPLICATION BASED ON GPS LOCATION AND FACIAL RECOGNITION USING FLUTTER AT SEMARANG CITY DISKOMINFO

Diskominfo Kota Semarang is a government agency office located within the Semarang City Government area. The researcher has found that Diskominfo Kota Semarang still needs improvements in its employee attendance system. In the work environment, attendance is very important for monitoring and controlling employee presence. The attendance recording process is still done using fingerprint machines and requires employees to come to the office to clock in. These devices are not yet integrated with face recognition and can only record attendance within the office area. Based on these issues, this research aims to innovate the attendance system using digital media in the form of an attendance application based on face recognition technology and a global positioning system integrated with Firebase. This technology is suitable for creating an attendance system that can help Diskominfo Kota Semarang address fraud in the attendance process and improve the efficiency and accuracy of attendance recording. The development of the attendance application system in this research uses Flutter as the front-end and Laravel as the back-end. The application built with Flutter offers high native performance on any mobile device, and the researcher can develop a new platform using just a single source code pathway.
