The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has significantly impacted the enhancement of smart home security systems. One area that continues to evolve is the automatic door security system, allowing homeowners to monitor and control door access remotely via mobile devices. This research aims to design and build a prototype of an IoT-based automatic door security system, which can improve home security while providing users with the convenience of real-time door access control. The methodology used in this research includes both hardware and software design. The hardware consists of an ESP32 microcontroller, infrared sensors, an RFID module, and a solenoid door lock for opening and closing the door. The software involves developing a web-based application connected to the system for door access control. Data collected from the sensors and RFID module are processed by the microcontroller and sent to an IoT server for monitoring through the application. The system also features notifications to inform users when there is activity at the door. The result of this research is a functioning prototype of an IoT-based automatic door security system. Users can remotely control the door and receive real-time notifications about activities near the door. This prototype demonstrates the potential for implementation in smart homes, enhancing both security and user convenience.
