Bird Pest Repellent Model Based On Internet Of Things In Rice Field Areas
Keywords:
INTERNET OF THINGS , pest, agricultureAbstract
Agriculture often faces the problem of bird pests that damage crops and reduce harvest yields. This research develops a bird pest repellent model based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in paddy fields. The system uses motion detectors to detect birds and ultrasonic repellent devices controlled by a microcontroller, equipped with a communication module to send data to the IoT platform. The motion detector identifies the presence of birds and activates the ultrasonic repellent device without damaging the crops. Data from the detector and repellent device is transmitted in real-time to the IoT platform, allowing monitoring and analysis through an application accessible from mobile devices or computers. The test results show that this model is effective in detecting and repelling bird pests, as well as providing accurate data on bird activity in paddy fields. The implementation of this system is expected to help farmers reduce losses caused by bird pests and increase agricultural productivity. With this IoT technology, agricultural land management becomes more efficient and data-driven, supporting smarter and more sustainable agriculture..
