Introduction to mammals is important in early childhood education, especially at the
Mutiara PAUD Post. However, traditional learning methods are often less interesting, thus
reducing children's interest in learning. To overcome this problem, Augmented Reality (AR)
technology is applied as a solution. AR allows for more interactive visualization of mammals,
combining the real and virtual worlds to create an immersive learning experience. This study
developed an AR-based learning application that displays basic information about mammals,
such as names, sounds, and habitats. The research method involved application development,
implementation, and testing on children aged 4-6 years at the Mutiara PAUD Post. The goal
was to increase children's interest and understanding in learning animal recognition. The
results showed that AR was effective in increasing children's enthusiasm during learning
sessions, with questionnaire results showing a satisfaction level of 97.1%. This technology
shows great potential for wider adoption in early childhood learning, especially in science and
nature materials.
